BARCELO HEALTH FOUNDATION

Through its Health Foundation, founded in Octuber 1989, Barceló & Company channels necessary funds to important hospital programs and health institutes.

The Santa Rosa de Lima Institute for the Deaf has always held a special significance for the Foundation. Today, Many programs at the institute are actively supported. The Oncological Institute is yet another worthy recipient of funding.

 Other health organizations that have received foundation support include the Rehabilitation Center, the Burn Unit of the Luis Aybar Hospital and the Pro Family Institute.

 A joint program has been developed with the Dr. Henry Tumen Foundation to send Dominican Doctors to Philadelphia for specialized training. Part of this same program is oriented to the training of professional nurses.

 The activities of the Foundation, are carefully determined by a council of qualified community of members and health services professionals .
